Emma's bad day!!!!

So Emma had a bad day... a very bad day! It began whil upstairs in my room. I was nursing Parker, and Emma was in her room playing. I suddenly realized all was quiet around the house...too Quiet! Still nursing Parker I decide to get up and find what Emma was up too. I found her anxiously sucking on a brand new tube of toothpaste. She was sucking so hard because there was nothing else. Well Mommy freaked and said give that to me...Emma with ashocked look on her face gave it to mommy. I immediately grabbed the box it came in where I read " keep out of the reach of children" So I went looking for the phone and was so grateful it was where it should be. I called the number on thebox which directed me to...POISEN CONTROL! This whole time my high strung toddler is standing next to me more scared than I ever remember seeing her. Well Poisen control let me know that since it was TOddler toothpaste the most we would experience ( unless she had an allergy) was throwing up a few times. which I was happy we were sparred.
That wasn't the end. a hour or so later we got out of the minivan and I told Emma to wait onthe sidewalk while i got her brother from the other side. as I am walking I hear this sound of someone i love falling behind me and i turn around to see her going head first into the post of the carport in front of her. out of nowhere I see a huge pump forming on her head. Everything goes through my head as I rush to her... bleeding in the brain, Brain damage, concussion, and then I hear "Mommmmmmy..." She is holding onto me for dear life it feels like and sobbing and everytime i look at her head the bump gets bigger and bigger. I try to remember everything i can about bumps ont eh head. is this the time to go to the hospital. I get Emma calm and get parker out of the car. She wants me to hold her and how can I say no. So i carry a carseat with parker in my right hand and Emma in my left. Scared I will drop one or both of them. But this is what Mommies do when it is needed. We sat on the coach cuddling. I had the ice and the bag of frozen peas on my head trying to convince Emma that they don't hurt and she will be okay with them on her head to no avail.
Did the tragic events of the day end there. NO!!! Then my Husband came home from work at lunch to pick something up and as he is leaving I am sitting on the couch Nursing Parker and Emma has a meltdown... It begins on the porch. She started screaming "Emmma gooo with Dadddddddy." Rayn decided to come back to give her a hug and she runs away and throws herself on the ground. So Ryan walked out to his car and Emma ran after him through the gate...always far enough away so that she was just beyond his reach, but close enough that she could see him. I got up off the couch still holding Parker and ran out after her. I find my daughter bowed down in front of her daddy's car screaming and crying out I tried to coax her up and she wouldn't. It was only after Ryan had left that we were able to walk back inside. Needless to say Emma went down for LONNNGGGG nap that afternoon and I welcomed the peace!
